Corinne Bailey Rae

Today is dedicated to Corinne Bailey Rae an English singer and songwriter, once again, one of my favorites. Her big breakthrough came with the her debut album "Corinne Bailey Rae" released in February in 2006. Personally, I thought that her whole album was great! Usually, we only have like two or three favorite songs from an album but she managed to make every song a favorite! I think that her album was very honest and didn't have much of that commercial component, I guess it was that attittude that made me like her music!

Pedro Abrunhosa - Momento

Today, I'm going to post another song from a portuguese artist called Pedro Abrunhosa.

This song is called "Momento" and means "Moment" in Portuguese. Basically, the song gives the description about the little moments in a person's life. You may not understand much about the words that he is singing but the song is simply a beautiful poem and beautiful melody! Please try to listen to it because it's definately worth it!

M.I.A. - Paper Planes

This song is from her second album "Kala" and it concerns M.I.A.'s problems with visas and certain perceptions of immigrants. Great Song!

M.I.A. - Bucky Done Gun

This song is from her debut album "Arular": it has a great beat and the video is so fresh. Definately M.I.A style!
